Refund & Return Policy

Garden View Nursery is committed to delivering healthy, premium-quality plants to every customer. We understand that shopping for plants online requires trust, and we stand behind the quality of everything we send. Please read this policy carefully - it applies to both online orders and in-store purchases.

This policy operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

 

Online Orders

1. Damaged or Incorrect Items on Arrival

We take great care in packaging every order to ensure your plants arrive in the best possible condition. However, transit damage can occasionally occur. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, you must:

     Notify us within 24 hours of delivery by emailing us at info@gardenviewnursery.com.au

     Include clear photographs of the damaged or incorrect item(s) and the packaging

     Include your order number in the email subject line

 

⚠ Claims submitted after the 24-hour window will not be eligible for a refund or replacement. No exceptions will be made outside this time frame.

 

Once we receive and review your claim, we will respond within 2 business days with an outcome. If the claim is approved, we will offer one of the following remedies at our discretion:

     Replacement of the affected plant(s)

     Store credit to the value of the affected item(s)

     Partial or full refund, as appropriate to the circumstances

 

2. Return of Products for Refund

If we approve a refund and determine that the product needs to be returned, the following conditions apply:

     Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Garden View Nursery does not cover the cost of return postage for online orders.

     The refund will only be issued once the returned plant(s) or product(s) have been successfully delivered back to our nursery at 249 Annangrove Rd, Annangrove NSW 2156.

     We recommend using a tracked shipping method for the return — Garden View Nursery takes no responsibility for items lost in transit during return.

     Items must be returned in their original packaging or securely wrapped to avoid further damage.

 

⚠ Refunds will not be processed until the returned goods are received and inspected at our nursery.


3. Change of Mind

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change-of-mind purchases on online orders. Please choose carefully before placing your order. If you have questions about suitability, size, or care requirements, our team is happy to help before you buy — contact us at 1300 649 333 or via the website.

4. Living Plants - Nature Disclaimer

Plants are living organisms and naturally vary in appearance, size, colour, and growth stage. Minor variations from product images are not considered defects. Refund claims will not be accepted for:

     Natural colour variation or seasonal changes

     Growth stage differences (e.g., smaller than expected at time of delivery)

     Plant decline due to care after delivery (incorrect watering, sunlight, soil, or weather conditions)

Our team is always available to provide advice if you need support after your purchase.

 

In-Store Purchases

For items purchased in-store at our nursery (249 Annangrove Rd, Annangrove NSW 2156), we accept returns within 7 days of the date of purchase, subject to the conditions below.

Conditions for In-Store Returns

     You must present a valid proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)

     The product must be in its original condition

     The item must have been purchased directly from Garden View Nursery (not via a third party)

     The return must be made within the 7-day window from the date of purchase

 

Accepted returns will be eligible for one of the following at our discretion:

     Exchange for another product of equal or greater value

     Store credit

     Refund to the original payment method

 

Exclusions - In-Store

The following items are generally not eligible for return or refund unless required under Australian Consumer Law:

     Soil, mulch, fertilisers, and other consumable garden supplies once opened

     Custom or special-order items

     Items showing signs of use, damage, or neglect after purchase

     Plants showing decline due to care conditions after purchase
