Mango Kensington

• Originally developed in Bowen, Queensland, becoming Australia's flagship mango variety since the 1960s. Also known internationally as Kensington Pride.
• Produces large, oval fruit with golden-yellow skin blushed with red, containing sweet, creamy flesh with minimal fibre. Average fruit weight ranges 300-600 grams.
• Self-fertile variety that doesn't require cross-pollination, making it ideal for home gardens. Typically bears fruit 3-4 years after planting.
• Beloved for its perfect balance of sweetness and tropical flavour, often considered the benchmark for Australian mango quality.

• Water deeply once or twice weekly during growing season, reducing in winter. Check soil moisture 5cm down before watering.
• Position in full sun location with 6+ hours direct sunlight daily. Protect young trees from harsh afternoon sun initially.
• Plant in well-draining, slightly acidic soil enriched with compost. Avoid heavy clay or waterlogged conditions.
