• Originates from the cool mountain regions of South America, particularly Chile and Peru. Also known as Peruvian Lily or Lily of the Incas.
• Features distinctive downward-facing flowers with six petals marked with stripes and spots. Flowers come in mixed colours including pink, yellow, orange, white and purple.
• Grows from fleshy underground rhizomes that spread to form naturalised colonies over time. Leaves are uniquely twisted at the base.
• Beloved by florists worldwide for exceptional cut flower longevity, often lasting 2-3 weeks in a vase. Popular choice for wedding bouquets and arrangements.

• Water weekly during growing season, reducing to monthly in winter dormancy. Check soil moisture 5cm down before watering.
• Provide morning sun with afternoon shade in hot climates, or full sun in cooler areas. Protect from strong winds.
• Plant in well-draining, fertile soil enriched with compost. Heavy clay soils need organic matter and grit for drainage.
