Aptenia

• Native to South Africa, Aptenia has naturalised beautifully in Australian coastal and temperate regions. It's commonly called Ice Plant or Heart-leaf Ice Plant.
• Features small, heart-shaped succulent leaves and produces abundant small daisy-like flowers throughout the warmer months. The trailing habit makes it perfect for cascading applications.
• Extremely drought-tolerant once established, requiring minimal water and thriving in poor soils where other plants struggle. Popular for erosion control on slopes.
• Fast-growing and low-maintenance, making it ideal for beginner gardeners or anyone wanting quick coverage with minimal effort.

• Water deeply once weekly in summer, reducing to monthly in winter. Check soil is completely dry before watering again.
