• Extremely drought and salt tolerant once established, requiring minimal maintenance in suitable conditions.
• Edible fruits and leaves have been used traditionally as food, with a salty, slightly sour flavour.

• Water weekly during establishment, then reduce to monthly or rely on rainfall once established. Avoid overwatering which causes root rot.
• Plant in full sun position with excellent drainage, ideally in sandy or rocky soil.
