Ceratopetalum Gummiferum (Christmas Bush)

• Native to the eastern coast of Australia, this iconic Christmas Bush has been celebrated for generations. It naturally grows in coastal heath and woodland areas from Queensland to Victoria.
• The dramatic colour transformation from green to deep red occurs as temperatures drop, creating a natural Christmas decoration. This seasonal change makes it one of Australia's most recognisable native plants.
• Reaches 2-4 metres in height with a similar spread, forming an attractive rounded shrub. The small white flowers appear in clusters before the spectacular foliage colour change.
• Extremely hardy once established, tolerating coastal conditions, light frosts, and periods of drought. It's perfect for low-maintenance Australian gardens.

• Water weekly during growing season, reducing to fortnightly in winter. Check soil moisture 5cm down before watering.
• Position in full sun to partial shade with morning sun preferred. Protect from harsh afternoon sun in extremely hot climates.
• Plant in well-draining sandy loam with pH 5.5-7.0. Add compost to improve soil structure and water retention.
• Feed with low-phosphorus native fertiliser twice yearly in spring and autumn. Follow package directions for application rates.
