• Native to Western Australia, this dwarf grafted form brings the spectacular orange blooms of Corymbia ficifolia to compact garden spaces. The grafting process ensures reliable flowering and improved disease resistance.
• Produces masses of orange bottlebrush-like flowers in summer, followed by distinctive woody seed capsules that add year-round interest. The blooms are magnets for honeyeaters, lorikeets, and native bees.
• Drought-tolerant once established, making it ideal for water-wise Australian gardens. The glossy green leaves provide attractive evergreen foliage throughout the year.
• Compact growth habit reaches only 3-4 metres, unlike full-sized red flowering gums that can grow much larger.

• Water deeply once weekly in summer, reducing to monthly in winter. Check soil moisture by inserting finger 5cm deep before watering.
• Position in full sun location with at least 6 hours direct sunlight daily. Protect from strong winds that may damage flowering branches.
• Plant in well-draining native plant soil mix or sandy loam. Add coarse sand or perlite to heavy clay soils.
• Feed with low-phosphorus native plant fertiliser in early spring. Avoid high-phosphorus fertilisers which can cause nutrient toxicity.
• Prune lightly after flowering in late summer to maintain compact shape. Remove any dead or crossing branches year-round.
• Mulch around base with organic matter, keeping mulch away from trunk to prevent collar rot.

• Provide full sun exposure for at least 6 hours daily to encourage prolific flowering and healthy growth. Morning sun is particularly important in hot climates.
• Water deeply but infrequently, allowing soil to dry between waterings. Reduce watering significantly in winter when growth slows.
• Plant in well-draining soil with good air circulation around the canopy. Avoid heavy clay soils that retain moisture.
• Apply native plant fertiliser sparingly in spring, as eucalyptus prefer low-phosphorus conditions. Over-fertilising can reduce flowering.
• Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and remove any crossing branches.

• Scale insects and psyllids can attack foliage, causing yellowing and sticky honeydew. Treat with horticultural oil or insecticidal soap applied in cooler parts of the day.
• Root rot from overwatering in poorly draining soils causes wilting and leaf drop. Ensure excellent drainage and reduce watering frequency during cooler months.
• Powdery mildew may appear on leaves in humid conditions with poor air circulation. Improve spacing and apply fungicide if severe.
• Lerp insects create white waxy coverings on leaves, weakening the plant. Remove by hand or spray with white oil solution.
