Dichondra Silver Falls

• Native to New Zealand and parts of Australia, belonging to the morning glory family with distinctive kidney-shaped leaves. The silver variety is prized for its metallic foliage colour.
• Forms dense, cascading mats that can spread up to 1.5 metres wide with trailing stems reaching 60cm long. Growth habit is naturally prostrate and spreading.
• Gardeners love it for its low-maintenance nature and year-round visual impact. Creates instant drama in containers and provides excellent erosion control on slopes.
• Produces tiny, inconspicuous flowers but is grown primarily for its stunning foliage display. The silver leaves catch and reflect light beautifully throughout the day.

• Water when top 2cm of soil is dry, approximately every 3-5 days in summer, weekly in winter.
• Position in bright, indirect light indoors or morning sun with afternoon protection outdoors.

• Aphids can cluster on new growth - spray with insecticidal soap or encourage beneficial insects like ladybirds. Check regularly during warmer months when aphid populations peak.
• Overwatering causes root rot and yellowing leaves - ensure good drainage and allow soil to dry between waterings. Remove affected areas and reduce watering frequency.
• Spider mites appear in hot, dry conditions causing stippled leaves - increase humidity and spray with water regularly. Use miticide if infestation is severe.
