Gazania Assorted

• Native to South Africa, gazanias are perfectly adapted to hot, dry conditions similar to many Australian climates. They belong to the daisy family Asteraceae.
• Flowers close at night and on cloudy days, opening dramatically when the sun appears - this behaviour protects the reproductive parts from moisture. Modern varieties stay open longer.
• Available in stunning colour combinations including orange, yellow, pink, red, and white, often with contrasting stripes or dark centres that create eye-catching displays.
• Forms low spreading clumps with silvery-green foliage that provides year-round interest even when not flowering. Excellent for erosion control on slopes.

• Water weekly during establishment then reduce to fortnightly or monthly once established, depending on rainfall. Always check soil moisture first.
• Position in full sun locations with at least 6 hours direct sunlight daily for optimal flowering. Avoid shaded or partially shaded spots.
• Plant in well-draining soil with good drainage - amend heavy clay soils with sand and organic matter before planting.
