Mango King Thai

• Originates from Thailand where it's considered one of the premium mango varieties for its exceptional eating quality. The King Thai variety is prized by commercial growers worldwide.
• Produces large, oval-shaped fruits weighing 300-500g with minimal fibre and intensely sweet, aromatic flesh. The skin develops beautiful red blushes when ripe.
• Self-fertile variety that doesn't require cross-pollination, making it ideal for home gardens with limited space. Begins fruiting within 2-3 years when grafted.
• Loved by gardeners for its reliable cropping, disease tolerance and manageable size compared to traditional mango varieties. Creates excellent shade and ornamental value.

• Water deeply once or twice weekly during growing season, reducing to monthly in winter - check soil moisture 5cm down before watering. Increase frequency during fruit development.
• Plant in full sun location with protection from strong winds - morning sun exposure is essential for healthy growth and fruiting.
• Use well-draining soil with added compost and ensure pH between 6.0-7.0 - improve clay soils with gypsum and organic matter.
• Apply balanced fruit tree fertiliser in early spring, mid-summer and early autumn - supplement with potassium during fruiting season.
• Prune lightly after harvest to maintain shape and remove dead wood - avoid heavy pruning which reduces next season's crop.
• Mulch thickly around root zone but keep away from trunk - maintains soil moisture and suppresses weeds in Australian heat.

• Provide full sun exposure for at least 6-8 hours daily to ensure optimal fruit production and tree health. Morning sun is particularly important.
• Water deeply but infrequently, allowing soil to dry between waterings - increase frequency during flowering and fruit development. Reduce watering in winter.
• Maintain consistent moisture during fruit set but avoid waterlogging which can cause root problems. Mulch around the base to retain moisture.

• Scale insects may appear on branches and leaves - treat with horticultural oil or systemic insecticide. Check regularly during warm months.
