• Valencia oranges originated in Spain and are considered the world's premier juice orange variety.
• This dwarf form reaches only 2-3 metres tall, making it perfect for smaller Australian gardens and container growing.
• The tree produces fragrant white blossoms that attract bees and beneficial insects to your garden.
• Valencia oranges can hang on the tree for months after ripening, providing fresh fruit from summer through winter.
• Known for exceptional cold tolerance compared to other citrus varieties, suitable for cooler Australian regions.

• Water deeply once or twice weekly in summer, reducing to weekly in winter when soil feels dry 2cm down.
• Position in full sun location receiving 6-8 hours direct sunlight daily for best fruit production.
• Plant in well-draining, slightly acidic soil with pH 6.0-7.0, adding compost to heavy clay soils.
• Feed monthly March through September with citrus fertiliser containing iron, zinc, and magnesium.
• Prune lightly in late winter, removing dead wood and maintaining open centre for air circulation.
• Protect from frost with covers or move pots to sheltered areas when temperatures drop below 2°C.

• Position in full sun with protection from strong winds and frost, ideal for patios or sunny garden spots.

• Scale insects can attach to branches and leaves, causing yellowing and sticky honeydew. Remove by hand or spray with horticultural oil during cooler parts of the day.
• Citrus canker appears as raised, corky spots on fruit and leaves. Remove affected parts immediately and avoid overhead watering to prevent spread.
• Root rot develops from overwatering or poor drainage, causing leaf yellowing and tree decline. Improve soil drainage and reduce watering frequency.
• Aphids cluster on new growth, causing leaf curling and stunted development. Spray off with water or use insecticidal soap for heavy infestations.
