• Native to Brazil, Pilosocereus Azureus naturally grows in arid regions with excellent drainage and intense sunlight. It has adapted perfectly to similar conditions across Australia.
• The distinctive blue-grey waxy coating is a natural sunscreen called pruinose that protects the plant from intense UV radiation. This coating intensifies with age and proper sun exposure.
• Columnar growth habit sees the cactus grow as a single upright column that may branch with maturity. It can eventually reach impressive heights of 2-3 metres.
