• Features two distinct types of fronds - sterile shield fronds that collect debris and fertile antler fronds that produce spores.
• Grows naturally without soil by absorbing moisture and nutrients through its fronds and aerial roots from surrounding air and organic matter.
• Highly prized by collectors for its dramatic architectural form and relatively easy care requirements compared to other staghorn varieties.

• Water weekly by soaking root ball for 15-20 minutes in lukewarm water, then drain completely before rehanging.
• Place in bright, indirect light such as near east windows or under 70% shade cloth - morning sun is tolerated but avoid hot afternoon rays.
• Mount on tree fern fibre, sphagnum moss, or bark boards rather than potting in soil for best drainage and air circulation.
• Feed monthly with quarter-strength liquid fertiliser applied to growing medium, avoiding the fronds to prevent burn.
• Remove old yellowing shield fronds only when completely brown - these protect the plant and collect nutrients.
• Increase humidity during dry seasons and maintain consistent moisture without waterlogging the mounting medium.
