Zamioculcas Zamiifolia

• Native to eastern Africa, particularly Kenya and South Africa, where it grows in rocky, arid conditions. Also known as the ZZ Plant or Zanzibar Gem.
• Features thick, succulent-like stems and waxy, oval leaflets that store water for drought survival. Can grow from underground rhizomes that store additional water and nutrients.
• Extremely popular as an office plant due to its tolerance of artificial light and air conditioning. NASA studies suggest it may help purify indoor air naturally.
• Produces small, insignificant flowers on mature plants but is grown primarily for its architectural foliage and bulletproof nature.

• Water only when soil is completely dry, typically every 2-4 weeks in growing season and monthly in winter. Check soil moisture 5cm deep before watering.
• Place in bright, indirect light but tolerates low light conditions - avoid direct afternoon sun in Australian summers. Artificial office lighting is sufficient.
